During the interview

## Listen to the candidate while note1 takes the notes

Recruiters and hiring managers can look at the candidate, ask follow-up questions and keep the talk moving. note1 records every answer.

If an extra guest in the call would make the candidate uneasy, use note1 for Mac to [record interviews without adding a bot](https://note1.ai/features/bot-free-ai-note-taker). Tell the candidate you're recording and get consent where required.

### Full recording

The whole interview is saved when the call ends, so you can play any part again.

### Written transcript

Every answer in writing, ready to search.

### Who's talking

Your questions and the candidate's answers are labeled, so they're easy to tell apart.

### Search later

Find an example the candidate gave when the hiring team asks about it.

Prep Notes

## Bring candidate prep into the interview summary

Some of what matters never gets said in the call. Add the resume, the scorecard and your planned questions before the interview, and note1 uses them when it writes the summary.

### Prep before the call

Write down resume notes, must-haves and questions before the candidate joins.

### Guide the summary

note1 reads your Prep Notes, so the summary can cover the criteria your team set.

### Compare with your prep

Your prep and the candidate's answers sit on the same meeting page.

Owned rollout planning directly, not just delivery coordination.

Can explain tradeoffs between launch speed, QA quality, and stakeholder expectations.

### Questions

Walk me through the last rollout where you owned planning through release.

Ask how they handled quality concerns when the deadline was already committed.

Partial match: strong execution examples, but unclear whether they set the strategy or inherited it.

This prep goes into the AI interview summary.

## Frequently Asked Questions

[Support](mailto:support@note1.ai)

### Can note1 take AI interview notes on Google Meet, Teams and Zoom?

Yes. Invite note1 to the interview on any of the three, and you can read along as the transcript appears. Afterwards, search it for any answer the candidate gave.

### Can I add candidate prep before the interview?

Yes. Put resume links, planned questions, must-haves and partial-match notes in Prep Notes. The interview summary draws on them.

### Can note1 turn interview notes into a short summary for the hiring manager?

Yes. Choose the Job Interview summary style. The summary starts with a few lines on the candidate, then sections such as role fit, strengths, concerns and next steps. The hiring manager can read it even if they weren't in the call.

### How can hiring managers share interview recordings with the team?

Set the meeting's visibility to Team, and anyone in your note1 workspace can play the recording and read the summary. To limit it to a few people, choose Private and add them as viewers. You can also post the recap to a Slack channel.

### Can the whole recruiting team use the same interview notes template?

Anyone on your team can pick the built-in Interview or Job Interview summary style for a meeting. For a recurring interview slot, save the style for this and future meetings. note1 doesn't let you write your own custom template.
