Find an answer in the transcript.

Upload your MP3 interview to read or search what was said. Use the summary to review the main points and the transcript to check a specific answer.

Upload the MP3 directly

There is no need to convert an MP3 into a video or a WAV file first. Select the original recording in the upload form.

Keep the best-quality copy

MP3 is a compressed audio format. Use the clearest source available, especially for quiet speakers or interviews recorded in busy rooms.

Keep the context with the quote

Review the surrounding transcript when using an interview answer. The meeting summary helps you navigate; it does not replace checking the speaker’s words.

Frequently Asked Questions

Support
How do I transcribe an MP3 file?

Sign in to note1, open the new-meeting menu and choose Upload recording. Select your MP3, name the meeting and choose the language and summary type. Upload it, then open the meeting after processing.

Do I need to convert MP3 to WAV first?

No. MP3 is an accepted upload format. Changing the extension or converting a compressed recording to WAV does not restore audio detail that was already lost.

Can I transcribe an MP3 interview with multiple speakers?

You can upload a conversation with multiple speakers. Clear speech and limited overlap help transcription. Review speaker labels and important quotes in the resulting meeting.

Can I upload several MP3 files as one meeting?

Each recording import takes one original file and creates one meeting. The upload form does not combine multiple files into a single import.

Is my uploaded recording private?

Uploaded meetings are private to you by default. Audio is processed on the server, and access to the meeting follows note1’s workspace permissions.

What limits and usage charges apply?

The upload form shows your workspace’s current file-size limit. Submitting reserves one meeting allowance and uses normal storage, transfer and processing balances. Canceling a pending upload does not refund its meeting allowance or transfer usage.

How long does transcription take?

The transcript and notes are ready after the recording finishes uploading and processing. Processing time varies; there is no fixed turnaround for every file.
