Frequently Asked Questions

Support
How do I transcribe an audio file with note1?

Sign in to your note1 workspace, open the new-meeting menu and choose Upload recording. Select one audio or video file, give the meeting a title, and choose the transcription language and summary type. After the upload and processing finish, open the meeting to review its transcript, summary and action items.

Can I upload a video or a saved Zoom meeting recording?

Yes. You can upload a supported audio or video file saved from a meeting, including a Zoom recording. note1 transcribes the spoken audio. The upload form shows the accepted file extensions and current size limit before you submit.

Can I use note1 as an AI note taker for recorded audio?

Yes. To turn a recording into notes, upload the file and choose a summary type. note1 generates a transcript, summary and action items after processing. The Notetaker does not need to have attended the original meeting.

Which formats and file sizes are supported?

Supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and OGG. Supported video formats include MP4, MOV, WEBM and MKV. The upload form displays the current formats and maximum file size allowed by your workspace. Choose one original recording per meeting.

Are imported recordings private?

Uploaded meetings are private to you by default. The recording is uploaded and its audio is processed on the server. Access to the meeting remains subject to note1 workspace permissions.

How do recording imports count toward my usage?

Submitting an upload reserves one meeting allowance and uses your normal storage, transfer and processing balances. Opening the form does not reserve a meeting. Canceling a pending upload does not refund the reserved meeting allowance or transfer usage.

Can I upload a recording through an AI assistant?

Yes. A connected MCP client can request upload instructions and transfer a recording if it supports local file access and HTTP transfers. Otherwise, it can provide a workspace-specific link to upload in your browser. The browser flow starts a new upload; it does not resume an existing assistant upload.
